Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form an agreement between you and QuoteVault ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the QuoteVault mobile application (the "App") and any related services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's standard End User License Agreement, which applies to all apps downloaded from the App Store. Where these Terms conflict with the Apple EULA, the Apple EULA controls.

1. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and any devices you use to access the App.

3. In-App Purchases

The App itself is free. The App offers optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases, including individual Quote Packs ($1.99 each) and the All Packs Bundle ($7.99, which includes all seven Quote Packs). Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. Once purchased, unlocks are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any compatible device. All QuoteVault in-app purchases support Apple Family Sharing.

3.1 Refunds

We do not directly process refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

3.2 No Subscriptions

QuoteVault offers no auto-renewing subscriptions. All paid content is one-time, non-consumable, and yours forever.

4. Your Content

Quotes, reflections, notes, and collections you create or import in the App ("Your Content") remain yours. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you add to the App, including imported Kindle highlights and scanned text, complies with applicable law and does not infringe the rights of others. You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's functionality to you.

5. Curated Quote Content

Quotes included in QuoteVault's curated packs and seed library have been gathered from publicly attributed sources. Attributions are verified to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee the authenticity of every historical quotation. If you believe a quotation or attribution is incorrect, please contact us at support@quotevault.app.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the App for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or our infrastructure; (c) circumvent in-app purchase mechanisms; or (d) interfere with the App's operation for other users.

7. Intellectual Property

QuoteVault, the QuoteVault logo, and the App's design, interface, and original content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Updates

We may release updates, bug fixes, and new features from time to time. Your device may download and install these automatically depending on your App Store settings.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL QUOTEVAULT OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to features that require an account if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which QuoteVault is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under the laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
