support@quotevault.appFrequently asked questions
How do I restore my in-app purchases on a new device?
Open QuoteVault, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." As long as you are signed into the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, your individual Quote Packs and the All Packs Bundle will be restored automatically.
Is QuoteVault subscription-based?
No. QuoteVault has no subscriptions. The app itself is free. The optional Quote Packs and the All Packs Bundle are one-time, non-consumable purchases that stay yours forever and sync to any device signed in with the same Apple ID. Every product also supports Apple Family Sharing.
What does it cost to use QuoteVault?
The app is free with every core feature included. The optional Quote Packs are $1.99 each, or you can get all seven in the All Packs Bundle for $7.99 (saving almost $6 vs. buying separately).
How does iCloud Sync work?
QuoteVault uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your quotes, collections, favorites, and reflections across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled on your device and that you're signed in with the same Apple ID everywhere. Sync usually completes within seconds on a stable connection.
Where are my quotes stored?
Locally on your device, and in your personal iCloud account if iCloud is enabled. We never see the contents of your library. You can export your full collection at any time from Settings → Export.
How do AI Explanations work, and is my data private?
AI Explanations use Apple Intelligence on-device models. Nothing leaves your device. The quote text is not sent to our servers or used to train any model. Apple Intelligence requires a supported device running a recent version of iOS.
How do I import my Kindle highlights?
Export your "My Clippings.txt" from your Kindle, then in QuoteVault go to Settings → Import → Kindle and select the file. Parsing happens on-device. You can review and tag imported highlights before saving them to your library.
How do I scan a quote from a book?
Tap the add (+) button in the Quotes tab and choose "Scan." Point your camera at the passage, confirm the text, attribute the author, and save. Scanning is fully on-device.
Does QuoteVault work on Apple Watch?
Yes. The companion Apple Watch app shows your Quote of the Day, your Favorites, and a shuffle of quotes from your collection. It syncs with your iPhone over iCloud.
Can I use QuoteVault without an account?
Yes. QuoteVault works fully offline on a single device. Sign in with Apple is optional and only required if you want your library to sync across devices.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. You can request a refund through Apple's support at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you ran into a specific issue that led to the request, please also let us know at support@quotevault.app so we can improve.
I found a misattributed quote. What do I do?
Please email us at support@quotevault.app with the quote text and your preferred source. We take attribution seriously and update our curated library regularly.
How do I delete my data and account?
You can delete any quote or reflection individually, or clear everything from Settings → Data → Delete All. To also remove any Sign in with Apple metadata associated with your account, tap Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email privacy@quotevault.app.
Still need help?
We read every message. Tell us what device you're on, what version of iOS you're running, and what you were trying to do. That helps us help you faster.
